Walnut Farm Eventing

Clare Jackson

Clare Jackson started her riding career in her home country of England at a young age and it was through the coaching of Miss Elizabeth Pickard (known as “Miss. P”) and her local Pony Club that she discovered her love for Eventing.

She went on to train through the British Horse Society to become a BHS qualified registered instructor and competed across the U.K and Europe. During this time she also completed a national diploma in Equine Business Management.

In the late 90’s she went to work for Christopher Bartle (current Eventing team coach to Great Britain) and his sister Jane Bartle-Wilson (former British Dressage team member) at Yorkshire Riding Centre. There she gained extensive experience and exposure to international level competition and horsemanship.

Now residing in Kansas, Clare brings a plethora of knowledge of upper level competing, training, coaching and the horsemanship and management skills that are so essential to keeping event horses of all levels healthy and happy. As well as competing her own horses through the levels and coaching students of all abilities.  She routinely travels to, and competes at events across the U.S to include (but not limited to) all events in areas 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8.

Since establishing Walnut Farm, Clare has also completed coaching exam’s through the United States Eventing Association’s Instructor Certificate Program and utilizes the many opportunities provided to attend ICP workshops to further her teaching skills and knowledge base.
